Thursday - We began our adventure making our way to the airport (thanks Fred Allen) and meeting Emma Lou there.  We travelled from Salt Lake to Honnalulu then to Kauai.  We picked up our rental car then followed Jill (my cell phone gps) nearly an hour to get to Anna Williamson's condo (our rental).  It turned out to be beautiful.  It has 3 bedrooms and the design and furnishings are beautiful! wow!  We were tired and plopped into bed.  John and Gloria arrived a few hours later (after 23 hours later and 3 flights).
Friday - We were all pretty weary from travel but woke up early because we had an appointment at a mink temple!  It turned out to be a beautiful place with flowers, trees and beautiful places for pictures. Our guide was a lot of fun too!  The part I liked was a story of how one of the gurus when he was 6 years old wanted something very bad and was worried about whether he ould get it. Somehow he realized that he was OK RIGHT NOW.  Since that time he took much worry from himself by recognizing the RIGHT NOW idea and making his life much calmer. After the tour we relaxed under the shade and talked for a while.  John said he had collin cancer and would be going through surgery after the trip.  We all hope it goes well and the they can go on many more trips with us still.
After the monk temple we stopped for lunch then went to Costco to get food for the week.  Then we went home to relax, put the food away.
Saturday - Once again we were up early.  This time we went to BLUE HAWAII Helicopter tours.  Migell was our piolet and our hour long tour of the Island was enchanting.  It was cool to be the "copiolet" in front along with Dan.  We took many videos and pictures.  It was great!  The funny thing was afterward when they showed a video of our group and our tour.  Gloria kept trying to take a picture when they shower the inside of the helicopter.  as soon as she positioned her cell phone the scene would change.  We all got a good laugh out of that!
We ate lunch at a fruit stand that had some very friendly roosters!
Next we came back of the condo to rest then out to a beach to enjoy.  We had hoped to do some boogie boarding but there were danger flags because the waves were too big so we went walking on the sand instead.  It was beautiful.
At night we mostly sat around and talked.  Much of it centered around the election and hopes that Trump wouldn't win.
Sunday - Church was at 9 on the Island, not too far from our condo.  Later we went to a "hidden" beach.  The trouble was that the road was incredibly rocky!!  We were concerned about the car!!
Lastly we went to Queens bath.  It turned out to be incredibly difficult.  It was rocky and muddy and slick and scary.  I followed John's lead and got a walking stick.  It was beautiful but also dangerous.  There had been 29 people die.  Dan hiked further and longer than anyone.  I was so worried and so glad that he finally got back safe.
Monday - Snuba Tour with Kevin, watching blow holes and goiong to the Smith Family Luau at night.  The day was fun and wonderful.
Tuesday - We woke up to RAIN!  We ate breakfast and were lazy till early afternoon then we got up and went shopping, enjoyed save ice then went to banana Joes to have some cheese cake. Then back to the condo to sit around and visit. Hot tubing with mom.

FINALLY finishing boxing the house (about 40 boxes on the beck) painting, scrubbing, feeling discouraged because it takes so long, Doug helping with 2 trips to the DI, picking up Tiarra from Trax, thinking about Heidi and her family (Links angelversary) having dinner with Doug and Darla then Dan does their taxes, Dan helps Alan and Heidi with their taxes, I went to dinner at Zupas and mom and Kalli and Tiarra then going to trishas to watch the women's conference, picking up Cindy and Mike from the airport, feeling sick with head and neck pain, feeling guilty because I'm feeling sick, going back and forth from lowes 4 times, getting frustrated because I used the wrong masking tape... feeling depressed... feeling grateful that mom was wish me when we picked up Cindy and Mike...taking sleeping pills to gather more energy...
