12 - 14 - I went to ROOTS TECH conference with mom. We experienced many things including Alex Boye performing, TenLe speaking, Laura Bush and her daughter speaking. We went to many classes, the expo, we took trax, I enjoyed meeting up with my high School friends Sherrie and Narlene as we went to the Alex Boye concert. Saturday morning featured Donny Osmond! What an adventure! It took place at the Salt Palace.
14- Mom really wanted to go to see Donny Osmond at the Salt Palace so I went with her. It turned out to be a very good presentattion. On the way home in the trax we met a lady from Venezuela. We helped her got to the mall and encouraged her to visit temple square while she is in Salt Lake
Celebrations and Tender Merices - Darla's tender mercy story today was about visiting teaching. On Friday morning she and her partner visited another sister. During their time together they ended up talking about how Darla and her partner had lost adult children and about how the Lord had comforted them. Within hours after their visit the woman they were teaching lost her son to a drug overdose. Darla quickly went over and talked with her, cried with her and once again surrounded her with love. She also probably gave her one of her books "After My Son's Suicide." Darla marveled at what was discussed in their visit just hours before this young man was found. Coincidence? I don't think so.
Tender Mercies:
On Saturday after the Rootstech conference Mom and I got off the trax at the wrong place. We were so thankful that a newly made friend rescued us!!

Sweet Celebration- I went to a wedding shower for Mikayla Cowley tonight. She is young, beautiful and radiating as she anticipates her big day this month. As I watched her open her gifts I thought of my own wedding shower nearly 38 years ago. I wore an polyester dress with ruffles and a high waist but I radiated also as I anticipated my life with Dan Potts. By the end of my shower I wore dozens of bows in my long brown hair that Dan "kissed out". We were so happy, we were so blessed...we still are. Thank you Father.
I am thankful that I found a check I lost, thankful for the juicy grapefruit (fresh from the tree) that my visit teacher gave to me. I am thankful for the ladies we teach, Bonnie Stephens, Tiffany Coates Rowbury, Connie Plott and Katie Koos. What a joy it is to feel of their spirits and testimonies as we share each month.
I am thankful for our fireplace, for sparkly fingernails, for long sweaters, for my ponder page and for goals to look forward to and the blessing of praying about them.

Tues. 10th
My celebration was that Dan and I had a "decent" and hopeful talk about how to handle finances (did I already tell you?) My next celebration is that my check engine came on but I was able to go to pep boys (after praying over my car) and have them find out what was wrong and clear the code!! yay!
Today Kerri and I go to speak at the prison to the men. We pray constantly that we will have the spirit and help them feel Father's love and hope. What an honor.
