July 2016

July 2016

As we look through this month we look forward to seeing Tiffany's baby, Max.  We also look forward to moving into our St. George home and getting the things in our living room taken care of!

1- For our date Dan and I had dinner at Costco then bought the TV and also bought a thank -you gift for Trisha.  A stainless steel garbage can she has been wanting for nearly a year.   We have enjoyed pictures of Max everyday since his birth too!   Tiarra also finished her last day at EFY.  Cindy is coming to get her tomorrow.

I am thankful that I finally finished organizing our new house.  The last room was the food storage room.  I am becoming very fond of the home, the blessing of having the yard work done for us and the kind neighbors nearby.  I am thankful for the pictures Tiffany sends of our little Max baby just over a week old.  I feel so exceedingly blessed tonight as I sit in my new study and I had a chance to play the guitar a little. We are so blessed.  Thanks Father.

3- Dan is not feeling too great today. I made bread!! Family dinner. Walk with Cindy. Joshua slept over. We did sparklers
4- Shopping with Joshua for birthday, serving breakfast at the park (Cindy came)...Shopping all day.  First at Home Depot for Granite and second at Ashley's for couches.
5- Temple Day!  Cindy, Trisha, Kalli, Tiarra, Mom and I.  Dan took Joshua and Michael fishing. Last night I had a wonderful dream about President Monson.  I was around him 3 different times.  He even knew that I play guitar!!
6- We had a nice breakfast for Nate and Kiranne this morning.  Nate is my cousin's son.  After that Dan and I went to moms to get a file then we went to Cindy's school and stayed to help about 3 hours.
7- Today began saying good-bye to Kiranne (Nate's wife) then we went to get our laminate and then to order 2 cabinets (It was a miracle that I found the company's name on the hinge).  We also selected our granite and were home my 10:00 to meet Trisha for a day of decorating. We went to Savers first then she went with Dan to get bunkbed frames.  We also had the appliances delivered!  What a full day! I also had a miracle when I found Heidi's money and folder!

I am thankful for lost and found miracles, for the way God puts information right before my very eyes, for the post man, for gas stations so realily available, for my strong and helpful husband and for my car that runs when I turn the key (so nice after having to replace the starter motor)...we are so blessed.

9- Dan went fishing at strawberry with Dan.  I went to Ivory's shower in the afternoon with mom.
10-

I am thankful for tiger lillys outside my window, for my helpful hubby (he helps me clean up after breakfast), for a good nights sleep (I know full well what it is like without good sleep), for Sundays that offer more of an open day and for kind and friendly people at church and night walks with Dan. Thaks Father

11- Trisha came to help us with the house more!  THANKS TRISHA.  Lookin good!

13- Big truck and load it with things for Southern house.  Trisha, Darrin, Cindy, Nate help Dan and I.  We were also able to get the couches a day early. Cindy brought dinner too

14- Closing on our saint George house and drive to Cedar City.  Joshuas birthday (with inflatable slide) then we took Ireland back to Cedar City with us.

I am so thankful for help as we got ready to close on our St. George house.  We were so blessed with Family and friends.

15-17- Dan and I went looking for furniture then on Friday night Nate drove up to stay at Moms place with us.  Early the next morning Dan and I got things for breakfast and we all went to the house.  Soon two of Nate's brothers (Rich and ?) Showed up and helped along with Joann.  By the time Heidi and Jason came (they weren't very late at all) the truck was emptied... amazing.  Jason suggested trying garage sales for furniture etc.  We looked at about 10 sales and only found a pan and breadmaker.  We spent the rest of the day shopping and getting rid of cardboard.  finally we decided on Costco furnitue.  By now Nate was spending the day with his family so we took the penske truck, picked up the furniture, somehow managed to get it off the truck and return the truck before night.  We were exhausted.  We slept, went to sacrament meeting in our "new ward" and picked up Nate (who helped us get the furnitue in the house) and headed for Heidis place for homemade bread.  It felt so good to get home.

7-18- Dan helped me and we had my cousins and mom over for dinner.  We had Sue and Brad Beck, Jackie Beck and her husband Terry.  It was fun.  We also approved our granite cutting and chose the areas we wanted most.

Visiting Tiffany in Minnesota and meeting little Max
20-28
Thursday-Cindy took us to the airport. After a long airplane experience (including coming down too hard on the landing and injuring a tire and having to go to another plane) we finally got to Tiffs at around 6:30. She had our room fixed up beautifully and we loved seeing the kids and meeting little Max.  At night we watched the GOP republican convention then got to sleep on a number bed.
At night there were strong winds and rain.  Maddy sought comfort with her parents.

Friday-Saturday In the morning we got to take care of the kids while Tiffany got some extra rest.  The next few days we enjoyed agreat meals (a barbecue where Adam made Steak and Cordonblu) and also sweet and sour in honor of Dan's favorites.  We spent time in the back yard on the tramp and the swing set, we went for a walk at a park that Bordered the Missisippi River too!

On Sunday we all got up early and went to Church then to the HaHa Falls. Tiffany and Adam are wonderful host and hostess.  At Church 2 of the songs mentioned "Grace".  I finished the autiobook TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD.  It was very good.

Monday- Tiffany checked something off her bucketlist when she made homemade peanut butter and Dan liked it (after more than 60 years of dislike). We got it on video.  At night we had a double date.  We went to a marvelous restaurant called RIVER INN.  It was great.  we had Prime Rib.  Afterwards we went bowling!!  It has been forever since we went bowling.  Unfortunately I hurt my neck and couldn't bowl after the first round but the others took my place so I won the 2nd game...haha  :)

Tuesday morning Dan mowed the lawn to surprise Adam.  Adam went to work and we loaded up the van and headed for Beebee beach on the Missisippi River.  The girls played in the water, made sand castles .and had fun!  At night we enjoyed time outside then watched a movie about aliens.

Wednesday Grace went with Tiffany to speech therapy.  Paulette, their sitter, came to take care of the kids

Thursday. After Dan made us pancakes we went for a walk around the block then headed for the airport.  We spent the next 6 hours in airplanes or airports. Kalli picked us up at night

Friday.  I woke at 3:45 to take Kalli to the airport so she could go to Michigan.  Our granite got put in. Later on Mom came to see it.  How exciting!
