 This is the Woodland Bed and Breakfast where we stayed.  It was great!!

 We had a wonderful time visiting the Olympic Park in Park City

27- We had a wonderful dinner at Mom's house.  She made Beef Stroganoff, my favorite, and gave me a really nice mink throw blanket.  Thanks mom
* We had Joshua stay for a few days and made lots of fun memories
29- Cindy and her family and mom came to dinner and to help us set up Christmas.  THANK YOU

Dan
10- Richard stopped breathing so Larry called 911 and Richard went to Pioneer Hospital then ended up at IHC in intensive care.  He was put on a ventalizer.We are all praying for him.
22- TRISHA AND DARRIN Had the Tews over for an early Thanksgiving dinner.  It turned out great and was a super turn out!!! Thanks Trisha and Darrin!!!!
26- We enjoyed Thanksiving at moms house with Mom, Cindy Todd and her caregiver, Cheryl, and Chrs from the home. Yum!  then we went to the movie: Creed, with Joseph at night

5-7 BED AND BREAKFAST IN WOODLAND
Dan and I celebrated my birthday (again) by taking a few days away at a bed and breakfast in Woodland where his grandparents used to live
We enjoyed relaxing and spending time with each other, visiting the graves (we were excited to find his grandpa), going to the outlets, lunmch at Ruby Tuesdays (yaum) andenjoying wonderful breakfasts and visiting the pigs and goats and roosters, watching 2 videos  and visiting the Olympic park on our way back home on
Saturday.  Thanks Dan.  This was great!!
11- Dan and Joseph went to see then new mission impossible show then out to dinner.
16- we went to visit Richard in the hospital
20- Dan, Cindy and Joseph went to look at a car for Cindy
Dan room Richard to 2 doctor  appts and out to lunch and shopping.
21- cleaning chapel together
25- Joseph took Dan to lunch and to the movies
27- Scanning for Dan.   For my date turn Dan and I sent to the temple and got dinner at TacoBell
28- Changes at Dan's work bring us to making some decisions.

Patricia
- Giving out candy at Merrills for halloween
2- physical therapy for my shoulder.  I am supposed to do exercises 2x a day for 6 - 8 weeks.  Father, please help me be consistant
3- serving at the dairy for the church.  Walking with Margaret, visit from Joseph
4- Made breakfast for Koda and Athena, watched the boys for Trisha, did research about schooling for Kalli, meeting with Kerri
*- Wonderful weekend at Woodland
9- helping Cindy at her school, physical therapy, speaking at SLCC
9- Kerri and I spoke at SLCC
10- NAMI conference and the relief society gratitude dinner
11- Going to Savers with Trisha then having Joseph's help for her to get a lube and oil.  After that I went to visit Richard (he seemed discouraged still being in ICU with a trach down his throat to help him breathe).  Next came a trip to Costco for Christmas pajamas and meatballs for Koda. Home

BUSINESS RETREAT IN ST. GEORGE
12- I picked up Kerri and Laura Lee and we headed south.  My right foot game me pains so about half way Kerri took over with driving.  We stopped for dinner at Heidi's place (it was soooo much fun and soooo yummy).  We then went on to St. George and got settled in Mom's place (thanks Mom), went hot tubbing at the club then played UNO before getting to bed.
13- We started the day by going in the hot tub then making pancakes then going to the dollar store and over to Walmart then taking nice long naps.  By 6 we got all bundled up to drive to Tuacan and enjoyed watching the FAB FOUR.  they are a group that does the Beatles songs.  They included trivia, videos from the Beatles day and lots of fun songs and dancing in the aisled.  I also felt the hand of God when I was able to retreive a knit hat I had lost.  It had been turned in.  When we returned to Mom's place we enjoyed skinny cow ice cream!
14- After a good nights sleep we all helped clean up.  We stopped in st. George so I could visit my Uncle Fred and Aunt Sandra.  Kerri and I took turns driving and we stopped at Heidis to return her scarves and gloves, give the girls an hug and see the "beach" and the temple going up.  It was great.  We arrived home around 4.

18- TEMPLE, helped Trisha with the kids, homemaking...
i am thankful for little ones who reach into our candy bucket and shyly say "thank you", for a neighbor, Vaunda, who shared a peice of pie, for the power of a nap, for the power of a prayer for people we don't know but read about in the news... thank you Father.
19-its my real birthday.   I have had  many songs,  texts and love poured out.  95 Facebook birthdays, 8 songs and mom took me to lunch with the red hat ladies and Trisha and Darrin took us to see the Hunger Games (last one) and our to dinner at a Thai restaurant.  I felt SOOO LOVED... from my surprise party to my real birthday!!  wow!!
20- Physical therapy was hard.  My shoulder is getting worse.  I need to start ibprophen therapy and maybe go in for an injection.  I went visit teaching and have been making goo progress on my homemaking goals.  Visiting teaching with Kathy
23- play with divit.  My throat is feeling better some.  Cindy went with me to have my shoulder injection.  It was very painful
28- I finished listening to THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS by C.S. Lewis.  Quite enlightening!!
29-sad. I had a sinus headache and missed the sacrament.  :(

I'm thankful for my grandma's banana bread recipe, I am thankful for the chance to listen to inspirational music on pandora, I am thankful for texting, email, for cell phones and for hugs.  I am thankful for Sunday naps and for the opportunity to feel love from those who have gone ahead and those who are right here on earth.  Thanks Heavenly Father.

I'm thankful for a visit from my son, Joseph Potts​, I'm thankful to be done with my physical therapy for the day, for stew and for cabinets to hide my kitchen stuff. Thanks Father

I am thankful for smelly cubes, for balls I can throw to our dog divit, for music at Tuacahn I can listen to on the internet, for audiobooks and for wykers rasberrt flavor for my water and for summer squash to fix an easy dinner with along with potatoes, onions etc.

I am thankful for the temple where I can ponder on priorities, I am thankful for our daughter, Trisha Potts Simon​ who is taking Dan and I out to dinner and a show tomorrow night, I am thankful for little Caden at one year old who reaches up to be held and is quick to give hugs.

I am grateful for Peter and Jon who came to play with Joshua, for Joseph Potts​ and Dan for being willing to help find a car for cindy, for understanding the 4 stages of loss when I realized that my shoulder is taking longer to heal than I thought and for progress on my homemaking goals!  :)

I am thankful that I think my shoulder injection is helping, thankful for the hummm of my frig, for progress on my homemaking, for the ability to "chat" with my dear friend, Lotta, from Sweden and my cousin from California.  I am thankful for Hallmark e-cards and for watching about 15 birds fly out of my bushes when they were startled.  I am thankful for my nephew, Cannon's email and some from our missionaries in our ward.  I am thankful Dan and Joseph could go out on a "guy hangout" to lunch and a movie... right now I feel so blessed.  Thanks Father.

I am thankful for Thanksgiving at moms, I want to be thankful for hours of scanning family history with Dan, I am thankful my throat feels better, that it's fun to watch Dan and Joseph play with Divit and that I have an electric heater by my side. Thanks Father

I am thankful that I am a writer, thankful that I find joy in learning from others, I am thankful there are so many wise and creative people to learn from.  I am thankful for Christmas music, nice smells and finishing C.S. Lewis SCREWTAPES.  There was a lot to think about!!  Father, I am thankful I am having my turn on earth. I feel very blessed indeed!!

21- Cindy got a new car!  Dan and Joseph helped her.
23-24- Joshua stayed a few days.  We fed the birds, went hot ubbing, he played with Jon and Peter and Presley, we played dominos and apples and apples
* Tiarra and Mike went to Michigan for a baptism
27- Cindy and Kalli went out and got a real tree and set it up!!  Way to go girls!!
29- Thanks for helping us set up Chrismas

- Thanks for the wonderful dinner and visit when Laura Lee, Kerri and I went to St. George
* Heidi has been working hard on a really cool geneology game
* It would have been Link's 3rd birthday.  They made cupcakes, visited the grave and more.  We all love and miss you little guy.

- Trisha hopped on her Christmas shopping because Darrin, Trisha, Spencer and Parker took off on a cruise the day after Thanksgiving to Miami Florida, St. Thomas and many other Caribian places.  Caden is staying with the Simons

21- Joseph got a new truck!  Toyota Tundra like Althea used to have.  Dark Blue. Congrats Joseph
28- Joseph said he went to Wendover and won thousands!!

Josie has managed to come home every few weeks.  It's fun to see the Coltons

* Josie is looking for a more permanent position in Salt Lake

Twas the month of Christmas at the missionary pad
not a creature was stirring, not even a lad
the stockings were strewn then hid under the bed
hoping the mission president wouldn't visit, "Oh dread"

The families they visit look to them for help
as lights are hung, trees brought in, puppy's yelp!
With Elders in smiles and socks wearing holes
they still finds ways to help others with goals

Yes, out in the cold they search for a way
for those who need help- they stop and pray
Then up in a flash they set out like a streak
to touch someone's heart and patch up a leak

Cause Christmas, though lonely at times it may be
still has a great charm and memory
as a missionary serves his master and Lord
he makes Christmas more jolly, it is such a reward!!

He looks up at the bright and  shiney moon
he smiles again as he whistles a tune
that brings him ever closer to spiritual light
and wraps his great heart with mission delight.

2015 October NL

2- Dan was in charge of our date tonight. We went to see THE MARTIAN at the theatre.  It was pretty good!
3- We watched General Conference football and put car covers on the car
4- big family dinner. Josie and her family came too!!  Yummy food, skype with Heidi and lots of chatter. 
10. Ward walk-about.  I went with Lori Jewett because Dan was gone to the football game with Doug
12- Halloween gathering with Leah at Murray Park.  Trisha and her boys came
16- Dan and the kids pulled off A SURPRISE PARTY for me at the Church House... it was incredible!!
Dan was in charge of our date but he said Bro. Welch needed us to help with cleaning first.  I wasn't happy but I did it.  I was cleaning in the women's bathroom when I thought i heard something but noone was in the closed booth so I continued cleaning.  I was just leaving the bathroom to find Dan and tell him I just had to have a toilet brush when he said he had recruited some helpers! Down the hall came our kids and grandkids!! Kezia reached me first and shouted "hAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!"  i WAS SHOCKED!! THEY then led me to the cultural hall where there were decorated tables, food, a photo area and a slideshow of my life!!!!!!!   I was caughte between crying, laughing and shock!!   Heidi and he family came from Cedar City and in a few minutes TIFFANY FROM MINNESOTA came in!!!! Later I got to see Gracie!  All of our kids were there and all of our grandkids except Maddy.  Leah came.  UNBELIEVABLE...INCREDIBLE... They had been working on this surprise for 3 months and Trisha had made sure that every detail had been taken care of even down to having a seperate room for the kids to watch movies.  Soon there were friends who came from facebook and email invitations: Darla, Kerri, Marta, Diney, Teri Ann, Margaret, Stiers from back east, ..there were gifts and cards and hugs and tears.  After the party everyone was so wonderful to help clean up.  WOW!   Thank you Father.  Trisha made a short video and put it on Facebook!!
17-We all began the day at Gardner Village, taking pictures, wandering around and I brought donuts and homemade hot chocolate then after a rest Dan and I took McKinley and Kezia out for their birthday presents.  At night Dan went to the U of U game and I went to Trisha's for  cafe rio, a game and a movie. Such a perfect end to a perfect weekend. 
22- Spencer and Parker came to our house while Trisha goes with Karrin to a business meeting.  Fun. 
My Mom's Bucket List
Things she has done: visited all the states, gone on a mission with Dad, gone down the canal, gone to Isreal, gone to the mediterranian, Gone to hawaii, took a hot air balloon, gone to alaska, gone down a zipline in Alaska

Thangs she still wants to do: go to the town on plymouth, spend a week on the beach, ride first class in an airplane, stay in a hotel where there is a hot tub,go one a tour along the east coast in the autum
22-28- Watching Parker and Spencer while Trisha went on a business trip with Darrin
Did lots of things like visiting Aunt Cindy, going to the park for a picnic, making scones, cereal necklaces, 


DAN
9- Dan and I went to sizzler on a date.  We were going to go to a show at the district but the freeway was far too crowded and we ended up driving for an hour.
10- I went shopping with Dan for new suits and clothes, ties and shirts
23- Dan went to help with the neighborhood clean up
30- our date: we coubled with Doug and Darla to see BRIDGE OF SPIES.  Tom Hanks.  Very good.
31- helping Richard with errands, going to the u of u football game, getting ready to be in charge if Sacrament meetings in November

9- Darla and I went up to the canyons to see the leaves and play guitar and sing. fun.  I also had my friend, Colynne, come to breakfast

I am thankful for space heaters and electric fireplaces.  I am thankful for an automatic sprinkler to water the tiny lawn seeds I planted on bare spots in our lawn, I am thankful for the news interview with the 3 new apostles and their candor, I am thankful we could watch our neighbors dog, I am thankful that I can type a little even with my shoulder sling on, I am thanful we are looking forward to having 23 family members for dinner around 5:00 and thankful for good barbecue sauce to slow cook the chicken in and I am thankful that I can take a nap this morning "just because" I feel like it!!!  Thanks Father 

I am thankful I can type (It is so much better than my handwriting.)  I am thankful Dan and I are listening to the same audiobook: THE GIVER. It's fun to do it together.  I am thankful for little MIA in our ward who calls me her HONORARY NANA and I am thankful the kitchen is cleaned up and I enjoyed eating  nutella toast!  Thanks Father. 

I am thankful for a drive in the canyons with my friend, Darla.  For the patience of my husband when I messed up our date plans, for Trisha Potts Simon​s family photos, for warm hats, our sprinklet system and for extra hours before the day really gets started.

I am thankful for the freshness and enthusiasm of youth, for their dreams, their goals and their hopes.  I am thankful for the richness of our ward family; their kindness, their concren and their testimonies.  I am thankful for the magic of living one prayer at a time.  Thanks Father

I am thankful for my brother-in-law who is a great listener.  I am thankful for Tiffany who worked so hard on our Tmobile bill, I am thankful for tears to wash away frustration, birds who bring me perspective, mom who helps me plan thanksgiving and our dog divit who shows love in her eyes even if they are clouded with age now. Thank you Heavenly Father

I am grateful that today I am not tired, I am not feeling hurt or pain. Yet I am grateful that I know these emotions because they haelp me feel thankful for the glass half full, for skies that are blue and for new ideas just bubbling on the surface.  Thanks Father, for the contrast of light today!!

I am thankful for the goodness, kindness and love of my family with my surprise birthday party last week, I am thankful that I could hear my sisters voice with the aid of a portable microphone this morning, I am thankful for the birds in the front yard, for the grass seeds that are sprouting and the joy I find in speaking at the prison tonight with kerri.  I am also thankful that we are planning to go to Hawaii for our 40th anniversary this coming March and thankful for a good friend who is giving us (mom, Uncle John and Aunt Gloria) such a good price.  My life is soooo rich and soooo full... we are soooo blessed.  I thank thee my beloved Father in Heaven

I am thankful for the cut and paste feature on my computer.  I felt stress from some of my to-do items and I was able to clear today and move it to tomorrow!! I am thankful for peppermint oil that helped with my headache, I am thankfor for so many dear, dear, dear friends. God bless you all!!!

I am grateful for inspiration during Stake Conference.  I am grateful for Jamie Case who reminded me of the value of coloring WITH the boys, for Trisha and Darrin's phone calls and pictures, for bubble baths and boys, for bananas and potty stops and cuddles.  I love being a grandma (at least 99.5% of the time!

I am thankful I can function without a sling on my arm now.  I am so so thankful that I am no longer in the dentists chair having my tooth drilled with intermitten pain due to my resistance to the shots, I am thankful for the time we spent with Trisha's boys (she picked them up this morning), I am thankful for extra time to do housework today and I am thankful for ice water beside my computer.  Thanks Father
